Have you ever felt stuck? Of course, you have. Let me re-phrase my question.

Have you ever felt like there is light at the end of the dark tunnel but you can’t seem to find the flashlight to get you to the end of the tunnel?

Ok, now we’re on the same page.

Not long ago, I felt this way about a portion of my business, which affected my life. It actually woke me up in the middle of the night thinking about it. Has that ever happened to you? A troubling thought that would wake you up?  How intrusive right?

I believe who you are, shows up in your business and in your life as you are that same person.  Over the years, I have trained myself to not let circumstances control my emotion, so I sought out advice to get unstuck from people I trusted.  Consequently, I received a few excellent advice that confirmed what I already knew. Yet, I did nothing toward resolving it.

Imagine the world we would be in if we all did everything we knew was best for us!

Then one day, I reached out and connected with someone who was creating results in the area I had been fumbling for the flashlight, so to speak. As soon as I shared a part of my vulnerability to this amazing soul, let’s call her “Angel.” She asked me a series of questions that drove me to the root of my stuckness. Angel is also a coach by profession like me, so she knew exactly how to help me get untrapped.

Here’s the key, you must let go of defending what is not working. Be open and present to receive the new perspective appearing before you. Yes, you must give up being right about why things are not working out. And you must stop talking and start hearing!

And…there it was, the light at the end of my little dark tunnel! It was so ridiculously simple and I had missed it all this time. I had a moment of what in coaching, we would call a “Paradigm Shift.”  Those are the freeing moments!!

Sometimes, we make life more complicated than it needs to be, don’t we? Often times, the answer is just right in front of us. Our great friend, called the “subconscious mind,” just doesn’t want to accept it until WE give it permission. You see, you often cannot see the picture when you are inside the frame. That’s why you need other’s objective, supportive and non-judgmental view to set you free.

I felt beyond blessed to have Angel speak to me when I was ready to hear it. Those Angels in our lives often times have the key to unlock the door that we have trapped ourselves in. You just have to muster up the courage to say, “I’m ready to get untrapped. I’m ready to take ownership of my challenge.”

Who are the “Angels” in your life?  And are you ready to hear the message to unlock you from Stuckville?

If you’re up to it, I’d love to hear from you. Share your comment below.

Stay blessed and shine on.

  1. Kasama – thanks for this blog. It gave me a moment of pause and reflection. I am blessed to have one of those “Angels” in my life that will sometimes talk to me and tell me things that I really don’t want to hear at that moment, but when I am open to “hearing” – I usually get an “ah ha” moment. Keep the good words of encouragement coming my friend!

    1. Thank you so much Renee for sharing! Awareness is an awesome gift, isn’t it? I am sure those “Angels” in your life are there because you have been there for them as well. Stay blessed and shine on!
